Emergence is the first book in my new Faye Midsommer series.

Faye and Sean are two magical fae detectives who are happily muddling along in their fledgling detective agency when they get landed in the middle of a big kidnapping case. The victim is family, and the kidnappers aren’t even human! Now they have to find and rescue Faye’s cousin before something worse happens to her. But Faye’s biggest challenge may be guarding her heart….

The Vampire Curse is the second book in the series, and continues Faye and Sean’s adventures. 

Nefarious persons unknown are plotting to put a curse on the leaders of the magical world to turn them into Vampires, taking away their magic and their political power–so the bad guys can take over!

Faye and Sean have to solve the case and save the day, all while Faye learns to control the dangerous new mage powers that she never asked for. Sean has her back–but are they getting too close?

You might be asking yourself (I hope you’re asking yourself), “Where can I get the books?” Well, there’s a hitch.

I’m self-publishing this series and that has steep up front costs to prepare the books for publication. So publication will be delayed while I save up money and write more books, until I can release a substantial chunk of the series on Kindle Unlimited with the books spaced no more than 90 days apart.

The first four books are written, and book five is in progress, but it’s going to take me a couple of years to stockpile the books, get them professional cover art and professional editing, and release them. It’s all down to the cold, hard economics of self-publishing.

In the meantime, I will be launching a Patreon site on which I will be putting out a monthly short story in the Faye Midsommer Universe.
